Human Resources to send notifications about vacation and sick time accrual

At the end of June USI employees will begin receiving auto-generated emails to notify them that their vacation accrual is at or near the maximum or when their sick or vacation hours balance is 22.5 hours or less. These reminders will be sent around the time of payment disbursement. Human Resources will utilize the Banner system to send these trigger notifications. Financial managers will be copied on those notifications. This initiative was put forth by Administrative Senate and members collaborated closely with Human Resources to put it into action. This is also a part of Human Resources’ payroll processing improvements as they seek to streamline processes to improve workflow and benefit employees.

Employees will still be able to check current leave balances on myUSI using the Self Service icon.
